Join us for ARCH DAY 2023 on Saturday, 8 July, as we celebrate small and independent businesses based in railway arches across England and Wales. ARCH DAY is all about encouraging people to visit their local arches and discover businesses in their local communities.

This year’s flagship ARCH DAY event is in Newcastle’s Westgate Road arches, NE1 1SA, on Saturday, 8 July from 1pm – 5pm.
Bring your family for a fun-filled day packed with mini-golf, a treasure hunt, canvas painting, and the opportunity to win amazing prizes from local arch businesses.
As well as a fun range of activities, our arches will be open, so if you’re a local business interested in letting one of our unique spaces, please come along. Our friendly team will be on hand to show you our available spaces and answer any questions you have – join us for ARCH DAY 2023!

BANKSIDE
- Join Better Bankside at Arch 23 for the “#thisisBankside” photography exhibition capturing the essence of the neighbourhood, take a smartphone photography workshop led by local experts, and embark on a walking tour along the Low Line to discover hidden corners of Bankside.📍 SE1 9HP

- Join Ebony Horse Club for the grand opening of their new arch space, where they will showcase their renovated arch and host open access youth club sessions. - The Oxford Street Party in St Philips, Bristol is back for another year! Come along between 12pm – 8pm as Oxford Street closes for a street party featuring live jazz and DJ sets, illustration workshops, performances from Invisible Circus, and fundraising for Dings Youth Club. - Experience NOISE & FLOWERS, the sustainable fashion and lifestyle showcase organised by Bryter Digital. There’ll be natural dye workshops, a catwalk show featuring designer Eirinn Hayhow’s latest collections, and immersive art installations centred around sustainability, and a site-specific art project by Dream Safari utilising recycled materials. ABOUT MATCH FUNDING
We’ve supported the ARCH DAY events of the businesses, charities and CICs above with match-funding grants from £100 to £1,500, or up to £7,500 for groups of businesses working together. Funding was allocated based on the activity and its positive impact, and anyone who runs a business or charity from within one of our properties was eligible to apply. Our grants matched what our customers raised and were administered in partnership with the community action charity Groundwork London.
